Jonni Masterson Bee is a 52-year-old liver transplant recipient from Evansville who received the "gift of life" on July 24, 2010. In the article Jonni spoke of the impact her illness and transplant has had on those she loves. Jonni explaines that this ordeal has been more difficult for her family then it has been for herself. As you read the article you may soon realize that humor is one wonderful coping mechanism used by her sister;"When Jonni was putting on fluid before the transplant, she gained from around 115 pounds to something like 200," says Jackie Dawson, her 48-year-old sister. "All of it was in the abdomen and all of it had to be drained once or twice a week. We'd get on her wanting to know when she was finally gonna drop that baby."
