What the heck is Neurotheology?

Neurotheology is a pretty amazing thing as explained at NPR " It applies science and the scientific method to spirituality through brain imaging studies."

If you are interested you can Listen to Dr. Andrew Newberg interview and how he has; "Scanned the brains of praying nuns, chanting Sikhs and meditating Buddhists. He studies the relationship between the brain and religious experience, a field called neurotheology. And he's written a book, Principles of Neurotheology, that tries to lay the groundwork for a new kind of scientific and theological dialogue."

NPR has been played on my car radio for years offering company during many long trips back and forth to a place I frequent in the summer. I hope you enjoy the online site and their insightful interview.
