Amazing Sunday-Live Liver Donation at Stanford: Sisters Undergo Unique and Rare Transplant

Published on Jun 22, 2012

Fighting liver failure had become an all-encompassing task for Judith Lattin, after an autoimmune disease had scarred her liver beyond recovery. At Stanford, Lattin was given the option to undergo a unique and rare procedure; a piece of her sister's liver would be used as a transplant. The procedure is only done a handful of times each year, by only the most senior surgeons.
