Hepatitis C Virus Attacks Brain Cells



Today reported by the Edmontonsun.com was the news of a discovery by Dr. Chris Power , he along with scientists at the University of Alberta found how the Hepatitis C Virus damages brain cells. The neurologist and researchers discovered that the virus attacks those brain cells responsible for motor functions, memory and concentration.

Quoted from the article : "It also causes inflammation, which damages more brain cells, or neurons. And, Power explained, the virus can also stop brain cells' ability to rid themselves of unwanted toxic proteins, which accumulate and cause even more damage."
